Who I am

Engineer by nature,
builder by habit.

I'm a mechanical engineer with eight years of experience across two very different worlds — the ultra-precise environment of EUV semiconductor manufacturing, and the ground-up chaos of running my own product design studio.

At ASML I built and commissioned 15 NXE:3400 and NXE:3600 EUV lithography machines at Intel, TSMC and Samsung. Equipment worth €150M per unit, tolerances measured in fractions of a nanometre, and the kind of troubleshooting that doesn't come with a manual.

Since 2022 I've been running CapaDesignStudio — designing and manufacturing original consumer products, running daily prototyping cycles, and taking B2B briefs from specification through to delivery with no handoff to another team.

Outside of work I build things. Drones, spearfishing equipment, IoT networks, furniture, whatever the problem calls for. The habit of reaching for tools first and asking questions later has never left me.

One of two engineers globally with combined expertise across mechanical installation and machine qualification. Led NXE:3600 deployments at TSMC Taiwan during COVID-19 in a hybrid role normally split across multiple specialists. Authored Design Notes and Maintenance Notes formalising field-discovered solutions for Netherlands D&E teams.

Built and commissioned 15 NXE:3400 EUV systems across three continents, handling modules valued at €120M–€150M per unit. Specialised in source-side integration — laser alignment, optical systems, UHV vessel integrity. Led teams of up to 6 engineers across 12–15 hour shifts and trained 20–30 international engineers.
